I graduated with a Master’s in English from the North Carolina State University, North Carolina (US) in 2016. Currently working as a copyeditor at Harper Collins India, I was an editorial intern at Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill (US) and a freelance content-writer with a SEO technology company while in the US. Before leaving India to pursue an advanced degree in English, for over four years, I was an editor (in that I was assistant editor for 2 years) with Orient BlackSwan (formerly Orient Longman), an academic publishing house (India).
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University. (Caution: I cannot read minds.)
I write short stories (fiction), memoirs, and keen on translating my grandfather’s novels into English – some day. I have translated two children’s bilingual books so far with Tulika Books, one of the top children’s book publishers in India. My interests span the self, food, remembering, journeys and words. Also, music, rain and promises.
